Best peaceful week we've had in awhile. Positive: Those were the most comfortable beds, pillows, and sheets we have EVER slept on. Our kiddos loved it!!! Negative: No one's fault; the water pressure could have been better. We were warned not to drink the water but we forgot to bring our brita filter this time.

A good place to stay but not the “ritz” Positive: It was very close to ocean. Great view of ocean from porch Negative: I thought it was”on the beach” but you had to go a couple hundred yards down street to reach the beach. Was kinda old and needed some TLC

Disappointing stay Positive: The duplex is located just across the street from the Gulf. Beautiful views from the front windows. The kitchen had a coffee maker and toaster as well as a microwave. Main bedroom had a king sized bed and own bathroom. The second bedroom had a set of bunk beds and a full or queen bed, so could sleep three. Flat screen TV in the living room with two couches and a couple of chairs. The bedrooms had dressers for storage. There were TVs in both bedrooms. Parking was available under the duplex, providing some protection from sun and rain. Small convenience store a few blocks away, and a good restaurant close by. Numerous restaurants and a grocery store about 10 miles away. Negative: The property was not well maintained. The front door was difficult to unlock from inside. Paint was chipping, a kitchen cabinet had been replaced with a smaller one but the wall was not repainted to cover the old outline. Several of the outlets charged our devices sporadically. The washer had a lot of spots on the lid that looked like the start of rust? When I tried to use it on Friday, it would fill a couple of inches then never progress to the wash cycle. A handyman came to look at it and ended up deciding it needed to be replaced, but since it was the weekend, the new one wouldn't come until Monday, and we were leaving on Tuesday, so no real help. On Saturday early evening the furnace stopped working. This was during the cold snap in January. The property manager sent someone, but there wasn't anything he could do. The fan continued to work, but simply blew cold air around. The temp in the house got down to 56 degrees. On Sunday the property manager ordered some space heaters from Walmart, but they were never delivered, so she had someone drop off extra blankets and an old small space heater. It would only heat a small area, so my daughter and I were stuck in the small bedroom with the door closed to keep the heat in. Since it was rainy, cold, and the roads were icy, we couldn't really leave and go someplace else for the day. By Monday morning, after spending over 36 hours in the chill, we decided to leave a day early and get a hotel room in Houston by the airport.
